The latest version of iPad will be available for retail price of Rs.29,500 for 16 GB model, Rs. 34,500 for 32 GB model and Rs.39,500 for 64 GB model. iPad2 with WI- FI + 3G will be available for Rs.36,900 for the 16 GB model, Rs.41,900 for the 32 GB model, Rs.46,900 for 64 GB model.
iPad2 is 33 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than original iPad, while maintaining the same 7.5 inch LED-backlit LCD screen. iPad 2 features Apple's new dual core A5 processor and now include two cameras a front facing VGA camera for face time and photo booth and rear facing camera that captures 720p HD video. iPad 2 promises up to 10 hours of battery life time.
The official announcement comes just after twitter posts from electrics dealer Vijay slates said that iPad2 will be available in the country in next two days.
